The "Thirsting For Hope" article in the Hartford Courant on Tuesday Sept. 12th was read with much compassion for the people of Niger's Azawak Province! It was noted that Ariane Kirtley will be present at the Essex Rotary Club on Sept. 26th. Will this meeting be open to the public? If so - please advise as to time and place. Thank you. H.L.Page

We pass through life but once. If,therefore, there is any kindness we can show, or any good thing we can do to any fellow being, let us do it now,as we shall not pass through this way again. Bravo Ariane, for bringing hope and water to the Azawak. You are the best example of kindness.

Amman Imman represents the best in humanitarian efforts. It is the way westerners should always help Africans: start out by asking the people how they see their own needs, then you do what you can to help them to achieve their dreams. Bravo Ariane, and bravo to everyone involved. I feel sure the people of the Azawak will benefit greatly from this effort!
